Week 29 – 2015

And we’re on to the next thing….

Death du Jour by Kathy Reichs – I borrowed this as an e-book from the Boston Public Library. It is Temperance Brennan #2. These books are SO different from the TV show. I’m just going to treat them like a completely different thing. This book is sort of all over the place, but it has a fast pace, and I liked it. A lot. It’s hard to review mysteries without ruining the plot. I thoroughly enjoyed this and I look forward to reading the next in the series. Unfortunately for me, these are popular and I have to sit on a waiting list for a couple of weeks between each one. This installment is getting 4 stars.

Touch & Go by Lisa Gardner – I borrowed this as an e-book from the BPL. This is Tessa Leoni #2. I feel like I’m running out of these, but I believe there are stand alone novel that I can delve into. Or I could tackle the enormous backlog and wait for her to publish the next installments. This one has a family that has been kidnapped. I really like Tessa, despite her vigilante tendencies. This was thoroughly enjoyable and I’m giving it 4 stars.

And that’s it. I’ve been seriously slacking. No wonder I’m so far behind my Goodreads goal. And these are just mysteries. It’s not like I’m reading anything in depth here. I bet there are a bunch of partially completed books floating around my lair that are calling my name….
